Trademark rights in Togo are governed through its membership in the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI), under the Bangui Agreement. National registrations are not permitted in OAPI states; all applications and renewals are handled regionally via the OAPI office in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
A trademark registered through OAPI is valid for 10 years from the filing date, and can be renewed indefinitely for further 10-year periods.
