Togo Trademark Renewal

A trademark registered through OAPI is valid for 10 years from the filing date, and can be renewed indefinitely for further 10-year periods.

• Renewal window: Begins 12 months before the expiration date
• Grace period: 6 months after expiration
• After grace period: The trademark automatically lapses and cannot be restored

• Simply signed Power of Attorney
• Trademark registration details
• Payment of renewal and late fees if applicable
• Renewals are published in the OAPI bulletin

• Once a trademark lapses, it can be re-registered by third parties at any time

• The OAPI office does not issue reminders

You can renew your trademark within 6 months of expiry, but you must pay a 50% surcharge. After this grace period, the mark lapses permanently.
