  • Independent registrations: Valid for 14 years from the filing date, renewable for additional 14-year periods
  • UK-based registrations: Valid for 10 years, tied to the UK registration, and renewable if the base UK mark is renewed

  • 6 to 12 months before expiry: Standard renewal period
  • Grace period: 6 months after expiry
  • In practice: FIPO may allow renewal even after the grace period if the trademark has not been removed from the register
